Surrender

The world is silent. Everything stands still. The air is thin and everyone looks at each other in a daze. The city of Jerusalem goes back to normal. The priests go back to the temple and act like nothing happened. The disciples are hiding - not knowing where to go or who to turn - for there Messiah has died and everyone is confused. The crazy thing to note is - Saturday is the day of the Sabbath celebration for the Jewish people (Matthew 12:1). Jesus is dead in the tomb on Saturday. Is it possible that the Sabbath is now Jesus? Is it possible that the entire Sabbath celebration has been fulfilled in the Messiah? Nothing has happened - not yet at least.

The massive boulder is standing in front of the tomb. Warfare is stirring in the spirit realm. "Who would ever dare enter the house of a mighty man and steal his property? First he must be overpowered and tied up by one who is stronger than he. Then his entire house can be plundered and every possession stolen" (Matthew 12:29, TPT). Indeed, there is someone who is stronger than death, hell and the grave who fought for our hearts. Our possessions of sin and shame have been ransacked - completely destoryed. What do we do when all is silent on the earth?

We surrender. "To the ends of the earth he makes wars cease - he breaks the bow, snaps the spear, burns the shields in the fire" (Psalm 46:9, CJB). The earth is silent because the war has been won. The city of Jeruslaem and the entire nations have no idea the invasion that will unfold. All the world will know that our Messiah is alive - tangible and real. The unveiling of Christ is about to begin and all things will be made new.

We are living in a season of time where everything is quiet. Jobs are shutdown. Businesses are closed. Church buildings are silent. The streets are cleared. Fear has escalated and no one seems to know where or who to turn. We must surrender. We must surrender everything we know to be true about God and let Jesus become our validation. We must anchor our trust in the Messiah for incredible breakthrough. We must surrender our striving and experience the Sabbath rest of Jesus. We must surrender to the powerful and gentle presence of the Spirit, becoming consciously aware of His movements in our lives. We must surrender to the lamb of God who makes all things possible. We must release the kingdom no matter what the cost may bring.

Faith rests on the shoulders of quiet trust. In this time - in this hour - we must trust and rest in the beauty of our Savior. Give up your weariness. Give up your shame. Give up your past. God is going to give you new memories - memories that will last for eternity.

There is a Great Awakening about to unfold. There is going to be an invasion that is going to be unleashed that people will talk about for centuries. It happened in Jerusalem. It'll happen again. The power of resurrection is coming. The power of breakthrough is being released. Oh for a people of God who are so fixated on the heart of the Father that they can be niether seduced or intimidated by the world. The shaking of the nations will destory the shroud of death over their eyes and they will see the conquering King. Let all of creation know that the love of God will never be quenched or shrinked in fear.

Surrender your lives becuase Jesus is coming.

There is nothing stopping His love for this world.
